"Sailed with the Ahi wave 18 on an 84 liter Quattro power w/ 3. 8 m2 in powered to overpowered conditions. Fin provided excellent control and maneuverability and did a good job shedding weeds. Same for the ahi 22 on a power 114 liter w/5. 4 m2 in underpowered to powered conditions."

Ahi weed 20cm with Walu weed 9cm side fins
"Having to deal with weeds in my area, I ordered the Ahi Weed 20 cm for my Fanatic Freewave 76. The plan was to combine this fin with a set of 9cm Walu weed thruster in bump and jump conditions with 5.0 and 4.2 sails. Compared with the original fin setup (18cm rear + 11cm side fins), the board feels a bit more directional, but perhaps a bit faster. I intentionally ran into big packs of algae to test the anti-weed effectiveness: no issue to report! It works and it allowed me to fully enjoy a windy session 2 days after receiving my fin in the mail! Having now sailed 5 times with this setup, I never experienced any spinout, no matter how hard I was pushing on my fins. The Ahi 20cm seems to benefit from a great range of use. It is perfectly tuned for my 5.0, but I had no problem sailing comfortably with my 3.5 in well powered conditions too. Getting the same fin in 18cm size would probably be a good thing to loosen my ride, but still, I'm able to carve nice turns with the 20cm. Very happy with my purchase. The fin looks awesome and it is going to be my secret tool whenever I have to face weed conditions when going out sailing. Thank you Makani JF, from Montreal"
Ahi weed thruster
"Bought this same setup a couple of years ago and just sold the board they go with. No way I was not getting these fins for my new rides. Bought a couple of different sizes so I can use them in any of my boards. Doing this review without having tried them but I know exactly what I’m getting already. Can’t wait for warmer temperatures to get back on the water!"
Ahi Weed 20cm
"Ahi Weed 20cm fin (with 11cm side fins) works great in weeds on 99L fanatic stubby with 4.7 and 5.3 sail sizes. There is only a slight decrease in wave turning looseness compared to a regular 20cm wave fin."
